Lourens completed his postgraduate studies in monogastric animal nutrition in 1997 before joining the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium as visiting researcher. In 2011, he was appointed lecturer at Stellenbosch University, where he also managed the Feed Technology Group’s research and development activities on aquafeed and companion animal food research. He later served as Technical Manager of NutroScience (Pty) Ltd, a pet food and aquafeed manufacturer. In 2012, Lourens co-established Nutritionhub (Pty) Ltd to provide specialist consultancy services to the animal nutrition sector
Lourens has 25 years’ experience in the animal nutrition sector and provides nutritional support to our clients, both local and abroad.

Desmaré van Zyl has more than 20 years' experience in animal nutrition and regulatory compliance. She holds a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences from Stellenbosch University and joined the University’s Feed Technology Research Group in 2006. As co-founder of Nutritionhub, she established herself as a regulatory nutritionist, developing expertise in South Africa’s animal feed legislation, as well as regulatory frameworks in adjacent markets.
Desmaré is the driving force behind FeedComply, Nutritionhub's digital compliance platform that streamlines regulatory compliance of animal feeds and raw materials.

Stephan is a highly experienced ruminant nutritionist with over 30 years in the feed industry. After completing his postgraduate studies at Stellenbosch University, he began his career as an extension officer with Parmalat. Over the years, he has held senior roles including Nutritionist at Kynoch Feeds, Technical Manager at Voermol Feeds, Divisional Manager at Protea Animal Feeds, and Product Development Specialist at Yara Animal Nutrition. Additionally, Stephan served as Chairman of the Animal Feed Manufacturers Association (AFMA) Technical Committee. Since joining Nutritionhub in 2020, he has specialized in ruminant nutrition systems, focusing on mineral sources and quality management, supplementary feeding with licks and concentrates, as well as young animal nutrition, including gut development and diarrhea management.
Stephan's extensive experience spans technical, managerial, and product development aspects of the feed industry, making him a valuable resource for practical nutrition solutions in ruminant animal production
