Lourens worked as a visiting researcher at the Catholic University of Leuven Belgium after completing his post-graduate studies in monogastric animal nutrition in 1997. In 2011, he was appointed as lecturer at Stellenbosch University and established the Feed Technology Group, with the aim of providing research and technical expertise to the Aquafeed and Companion Animal Food industries. Later, he helped to establish (and was appointed the technical manager of) the Pet Food and Aquafeed manufacturer NutroScience (Pty) Ltd. He established Nutritionhub (Pty) Ltd as a nutrition services consultancy in 2012 to provide nutrition consultancy services to the specialist animal nutrition sectors.
Lourens has 25 years’ experience in the animal nutrition sector and provides nutritional support to our clients, both local and abroad.

Desmaré graduated in Animal Sciences at Stellenbosch University and continued with post-graduate studies on monogastric animal nutrition. She helped to establish Stellenbosch University’s Feed Technology Research Group before joining Nutritionhub as an animal nutritionist.
Desmaré has 15 years’ experience in the animal nutrition sector and steers the regulatory services at Nutritionhub - supporting clients to be compliant for business in the animal feed industry.

Myles graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in animal science.
He gained valuable experience in the aquaculture sector before joining Nutritionhub as a nutritionist in 2017.
Myles is passionate about companion animal nutrition and supports this technical initiative component of our business.
Pieterse

Everett graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in animal science in 2017. His passion for aquaculture caused him to pursue post-graduate studies in the development of alternative feed ingredients for aquaculture diets. Experience gained through his studies gave him practical experience in both the production of insects and aquaculture species.
Everett’s role as a nutritionist is to support our drive towards more sustainable and cost effective aquaculture.
Uys
Nutritionist, MSc SACNASP nr : 126608
Janien graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in Animal Science in 2017. Her passion for ruminant nutrition and enhancing current farming practices encouraged her to pursue post-graduate studies. She has completed her Master’s degree in 2020, researching the influence of amino acids to enhance sheep production parameters.
She joined Nutritionhub in 2020 with valuable experience gained from her studies.
Breytenbach
Nutritionist, MSc SACNASP nr : 400027/97
Stephan Breytenbach -ruminant nutritionist with a MSc in animal nutrition and 30 years’ experience in the feed industry. Stephan started his career as an extension officer for Parmalat. Further roles included Nutritionist at Kynoch Feeds, Technical Manager at Voermol feeds and Manager of Protea Animal Feeds. He has an active involvement in the animal feed industry including a term as chairman of AFMA Technical Committee.
Stephan’s strengths are in depth knowledge of extensive ruminant nutrition systems, Phosphate feeding and production, ingredient quality management and sourcing as well product import and trade experience.
